PS3 Wireless Controller Synchronization Problems

There are many topics around the web about PS3 wireless controller synchronization issue. If your controller and wireless headset are using same frequency, try to switch of your wireless headset for a try. The RF technology, means the radio frequency technology is used for many cordless devices, may of these devices are used at 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, you can try switching off the devices which are using same frequency. DualShock3 Wireless controller of PS3 uses bluetooth technology. So try to avoid the usage of any bluetooth devices around.


The problem in detail looks like this,

PS3 and controller work fine till the last use and one fine day when you try to start gaming, you find that your wireless controller is not being connected to the PS3. The controller just blinks on and on. The problem may be,
  1. Your controller is too far from PS3.
  2. Your controller is not well charged electrically.
  3. You are using the PS3 with controller near other cordless devices which are using the same frequencies to communicate between themselves. Generally, the cordless devices like a Fixed Line Phone will use the frequency 2.4GHz. Some Wireless Headphones also use the same frequency.
  4. Fault with the controller.
  5. Fault with PS3.
So, the last options are pretty rare and does not cause just as it is. So try solution for any of the above given problems. If the problem still persists, try the controller with other PS3 or try the new controller with same PS3.
