Jumping is a very expertly skill which every expert must have got. You are always a noob i front of a guy who can jump longer than you.
There are a lot of jumping noob maps which can be practised to excel. These maps help a lot in the normal arenas where you can just play with the noobs. You can just go on to different places in the maps where no one can expect you to be there. There is no need for you to get boosted by some one. Its in your own hands.
For example, in de_nuke, there is a hill like place where you can just take the advantage of your background and around. It can be reached by strafe jumping. Other noobs might go for a boost there. Its a positive point for you.
