DC++ Hub and Application Settings for High Speed Downloads and Uploads

DC++ is a application which allows its users to share the electronic media with and around the world. Just joining the Hub with minimum share will fetch you some extreme amount of Data shared in the Hub.

Application Setting:

For best usage of the DC++, it is always better to put the destination folder and incomplete folder in same Drive. This would avoid the cut paste of the files from one drive to another drive of the hard disk, there by reducing the load on the hard disk.

Hardware Setting:

The speed of Downloads and Uploads in the DC++ Client application are limited by the speed of the hard disk. So if there are two hard disks then there would be a definite increase of the downloads and upload speeds.

The RAM can increase the speed of the downloads greatly without any upper limit for the RAM size. The Speed increases with size of RAM. The LAN Speeds of DC++ reach around 12MBps. But there would be a definite increase in the speed with RAM with higher frequencies.

As a reminder,
BSNL users if using the DC++ clients please note that the bill charged is based on both upload and download including browsing. So be careful. The Uploads also count into the Data charged in the Bill. So it is always good to use DC++ in the Night Unlimited time if available in the Plan. Or else just don't use DC++ or you may get some bad bills.

It is always better to use DC++ for YN hubs, I guess. Clients like StrongDC or ApexDC would be disconnecting sometimes.
