Errors and Crashes Reported with Call of Duty 5 World At War

As some of the cases reported in communities,

1. While selecting the mission Hard landing it says "Click to start mission." But then the error showns "dwwin.exe Application Error"
2. Fastfile for zone 'code_post_gfx' is corrupt or unreadable.
3. "Error during initialization:
   Video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data."
4. "directx runtime had encountered an unrecoverable error"
5. Start the game and after selecting the difficulty level and selecting the mission there is no option to play the mission.
6. when clicked on COD5mp when connected to the internet it crashes once the menu appears but when disconnected it works offline.
7. Fastfile for zone ui appears corrupt or unreadable(code 107)

Best solution is to buy the game!!!

What if Call of Duty game Video Files are deleted

There exists a folder for call of duty game video files, which are shown while loading a machine. If these video files are deleted some how with or without notice, then there is no big problem. The game loads normally even with out the video files in that folder. Also, the game does not pose any problems while loading. The only thing happens is that the screen goes white where the video file is expected to be shown. All the game remains normal.

These video files themselves occupy more than 1 GB of Disk Space. So, there a possibility of deletion of the video files in a hurry. Then there is nothing to worry about. Its just another optional folder if we consider the actual game. But the designers always want their work to be appreciated by seeing it.

Call of Duty 4 Mod Plugin for AMX Mod X in Counter Strike 1.6

Call of Duty 4 Mod has been available for AMX Mod X to change the game play of Counter Strike 1.6. In this mod, a Grenade is dropped just after a player is killed. This grenade can damage the enemies and kill them.

The Plugin can be downloaded from amxmodx official website. The plugin once downloaded needs to be installed in the AMX Mod X installed in Cointer Strike 1.6 previously.

1. Just place the source file .sma of the plugin in cstrike\addons\amxmodx\scripting\ folder.
2. Now run the compile.exe file in the same scripting folder.
3. The out put file will be placed in compiled folder.
4. It will be named as the source file and the extension as .amxx.
5. This file should be placed in the plugins folder of amxmodx folder.
6. Now in amxmodx\configs\ folder, you can see a file named plugins.ini.
7. Now add a line, the name of the .amxx file including .amxx, at the end of the file.
8. Now go to, amxmodx\configs\ folder and open modules.ini file
9. Remove any semi-colons in front of the line containing these words Fakemeta and Hamsandwich
10. Doint the above step will enable the two modules
11. If the Semi-Colons are put, then the modules will be disabled.
12. Just run the game, and the plugin will be loaded.

And these mods are again modified their own plugins like CSDM by bailopan and GunGame, Warcraft, Diablo, SuperHero Mods etc.

In the Future
Mostly there will be a statistics plugin for the game Call of Duty in its latest versions or may be there is one right now, I dont know. But it will make a lot of difference in the gameing interests. How ever big the game may be people prefer to play multiplayer games than playing in themselves. Even for single player games like UbiSoft's Prince of Persia series, people tend to play in groups than playing alone.

If not AMX Mod X, there should be some other Mod which could be installed in the game as a mod and it should provide the data very similar to the data in counter strike game to the greatest possible similarity or much superior to it. These statistics would provide not only very interesting data but also lets the learners get in to the game much quicker than others.

Ranking in Call of Duty
The game will be very interesting if some ranking is given to each of the player based on their performance in the game. Also some virtual designations which are supposed to be attained by the experience and performance would make the game look much cooler. This may be not so concerned on the internet, but in the case of Local Area Networks like in institutions and other places where the players are many would make it much cooler to play.
