These directories will give you mainly a great number of configs used by professional. These configs are nowhere available other than website file directories. But you can get the most famous and most used configs from the Internet websites like sk-gaming, some other websites.

Demos and Stuff:

Additionally, you can get the demos form HLTV.org. HLTV.org has a very good collection of HLTV Demos which you can download for free with out any registration or anything. Also you will get the complete information of the demo you are downloading before downloading itself. It has almost all the demos of the professional gaming leagues. You can even browse and search the demos in the website to download the exact matches and the teams which interest you much.

You can even get some demos of the tournaments and leagues from the website I have given you previously. It is downloads.noobwars.gr and it will provide the demos up to 4GB.

Zipped Demos:

One more important thing is that the demos when compressed to .zip itself, you can get a compression ratio of around 0.2. Which means you can download the zipped demo at 2MB which is actually of the size of 10-12MB.

Also, the HLTV Demos can be of much lower size than those of personal demos. A personal demo would take around 70MB for a 15 round match, where as the HLTV demo will take just 10-15 MB.

So it is better to record your own demos to HLTV type demos and also, it is better for you to compress while transferring the files.

StatsMe 2.8.3 an Addon for MetaMod for Counter Strike 1.6/CZ in Game Statistics Display

What is StatsMe:

You might have seen many Counter Strike 1.6 Stats pages on the web in many websites. That can be done by PsychoStats package which allows the Counter Strike server administrator put the stats in the web. It would not show any stats in game while you are playing the game or spectating. But no worry! Here is another package which allows you to see stats in game for Counter Strike 1.6/CZ. It is StatsMe. StatsMe 2.8.3 is the current latest version of StatsMe released. This is an addon/plugin used for MetaMod. This plugin does not require AMX Mod X and both are two seperate plugins for MetaMod. And MetaMod is again an addon for Counter Strike and all of its Versions like CS1.6, CSCZ, CSS.

How to Install StatsMe:

Firstly you need to have metamod installed in your Counter Strike installation. If you have installed AMX Mod X or Admin Mod previously, then you will have the MetaMod installed. Else, to check this out, just go to your Counter Strike installation folder and see for cstrike. You should have a folder named addons, in your cstrike. Then go to addons and you should see folder named metamod. This MetaMod is what we are talking about. Or if you dont have the metamod folder see the section below,

MetaMod Installation:

Download the metamod.dll file from http://www.metamod.org/ you will get a zip file extract it and paste the metamod.dll file in cstrike\addons\metamod\dlls. You need to create the metamod folder and addons as you dont have them previously.

Now, you need to edit the liblist.gam file. For complete explanation search for the post "Editing liblist.gam file" in this blog posts. Or I'll give you explanation very briefly.

Open Cstrike\liblist.gam with notepad, add the line gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls" in place of gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"

StatsMe Installation:

1. Download the package from the link given in this blog posts. Or go for the keyword download StatsMe 2.8.3 Latest in google search.
2. Once you get the package, extrat it to some folder.
3. Copy the statsme folder to addons folder, paste it in the folder where metamod is.
4. Now open metamod folder and add a file named plugins.ini
5. Open the file with notepad
6. Add this line win32 addons\statsme\dlls\statsme_mm.dll
7. Thats it when you start the game, you can see statsme stats.
8. Stats are displayed after the end of the round.

StatsMe Commands:

You can get the statsme menu when you give the command statsme_menu in the console. But it asks you password. So, first give the command "sm_menu_password pass" and then "statsme_menu pass". This should show you menufront type of menu. You can configure statsme with that menu.

HLTV Skins and Models - Addons for Movie Making

It was in 2007 ESWC there was CS1.6 final between PGS vs NOA. I came across the Video in youtube and I found the HLTV of ESWC is Modified with some skin or Addon. I don't know what it is but that really made me think about it. See it here,

The addon is giving the info health and players alive on both sites with such cool animations. A title bar is present on the top which is giving the team score. It must be definitely an addon for HLTV. Assume if you can make such a video of your own. Thats too cool to just assume.

What I want to know is,

1. Is it a HLTV Skin?
2. If yes, is it available for all or only ESWC uses it?
3. If yes, where to get it?
4. If not available, are there any similar addons for HLTV?

PGS Vs NOA ESWC 2007 HLTV Skins
I googled this keyword for a hundred times but I endup in nothing but hltv_models.rar. I have searched the topics in HLTV.org. Searched it in gotfrag, fpsbanana etc...

According to My Opinion:

1. HLTV must officially release a skin of such kind.
2. HLTV should have addons which can do much better for moviemaking.
3. CPL, ESWC, WCG should have their own skins and should make a public version and make it available for the public.
4. These Models or Skins or Addons what ever they are should be added to their GUI package.

I am desperate to make a video with those addons.

Counter Strike: Condition Zero Metamod, AMX Mod X, Admin Mod and Add-ons.

Apart from it being a great game, there are many more add-ons for Counter Strike 1.6 (CS1.6) and Counter Strike: Condition Zero(CSCZ). These add-ons are third party plug-ins created for better game play. One of these add-ons is AMX Mod X and the other is Admin Mod. These are the most widely used and comprises of many advantages in the game play.

Metamod:

Metamod is the dll file use to modulate the game. This will add a great flexibilty to the game management. The so called addons like AMX MOD X and Admin Mod both are based on the basic level of the management the Metamod.

Metamod plugins include the following

Admin Mod installation:

The installation is easy, which uses java script to install Admin Mod automatically.

AMX Mod X Installation:

You can Download AMX MOD X from this website http://www.amxmodx.org/.

Install it as follows:

The setup file you download installs AMX MOD X installer. Then run the installer.exe. It shows the following window during its installation. If you use the amx for hosting a normal gaming server in your PC for your local area network(LAN), select the last option “Select mod directory.”

Now install folder selected should be “CSTRIKE” or “CZERO” folder respectively for CS and CZ.

That’s all installation is complete. To verify the work, start new multiplayer game, open the console(by pressing ~ button beside 1) just type amx, you should get the words shown below. Type amxx plug-ins, it will show the pugins installed, check in the Mod you have installed AMX i.e CS1.6 or CSCZ.

AMX Mod X Advantages:

AMX MOD X helps in controlling the game options. You can type AMX commands in the console to control the game options. Also it will show up a menu by typing the command "amxmodmenu" in the console.

Some amx commands:

amxmodmenu - Shows a menu of AMX MOD X, Simple and Easy.
amx_statscfgmenu - shows a menu to configure statistics.
amx_map mapname - changes map
amx_vote q op1 op2 - displays a vote to the players
amx_pausecfg - to pause the game.

Using its features:

The AMX Mod X uses other plugins also to make the game play different than normal. You can slap, slay, kick, ban other players. Stats plugins can also be used to show the statistics of game play like ranks of the players. Some plugins can be added to change the game play. For example, Death Match plugin, Gun Game plugin, etc.

Installed AMX Mod X would create an “addons” folder in CSTRIKE or CZERO folder in which ever you have selected.

AMX MOD X Plugins:

Installing Addons:

Addons are the additional plugins for AMX MOD X which will change the game play of the games you have installed on. Addons like GunGame and DeathMatch are very famous and most widely used for Gameplay.

For Example Installing the Counter Strike Death Match for AMX MOD X

1. Download the package from http://www.bailopan.net/csdm/
2. You will get the following in the package
   csdm
   pics
   csdm_mod.sma
   csdm_mod.amxx etc.
3. Put the “csdm” folder in “…\amxmodx\” folder. This folder is needed for random spawn points.
4. Put the csdm_mod.amxx in “plugins” folder, and add the text line “csdm_mod.amxx”in the end of plugins.ini. If this does not work in the game, compile the csdm_mod.sma, and put the output file csdm_mod.amxx in the plugins folder.
   Compiling: Put the csdm_mod.sma in scripting folder, run compile.exe. Output files will be placed in “compiled” folder.
5. Restart the game, restart a multiplayer game. You should get the Death Match directly. You can disable the csdm by adding a “;” semicolon in front of the line csdm_mod.amxx in plugins.ini file.

Installing any addon includes placing the folders in their perticular location and placing the .amxx files and .sma files in their locations. Also compiling the source.
