Multiplayer Games are highly unique different than Single Player Games

Q.  You play PC games?
I guess you do.

Q. Single Player or Multiplayer?
If you say single player, you are starting. If you say Multiplayer, you are a Gamer.

Graphics are not important in Multiplayer Games. Counter Strike is the best example. How better the graphics may be, no one wants to play a Multiplayer Game if the game is not so convincing. In the game counter strike, the player tend to play multiplayer a lot more than single player. Also, the bots in single player mode may spoil your game both accuracy wise and strategy wise.

So graphics are important for Singleplayer games and an extra feature for Multiplayer games. So this makes the design of Multiplayer and Singleplayer a lot different from each other. A game with both multiplayer and singleplayer support is very rare to get fame for both modes. Even if it did, only one of Multiplayer and Singleplayer is known to be more successful.

More over, multiplayer game now a days is just go on shooting one another or go on racing with all the arrow keys pressed with lot of anger. It takes a lot more than singleplayer mode to make a multiplayer game. The story line of the multiplayer game need to be written very carefully to make a nice game. The characters must be set some way. I will write a post on multiplayer gaming in games like Prince of Persia.
